This home was recently purchased by a young family with a little 2 year old girl. Looking for more space after selling their renovated single fronted Victorian in Balaclava, they found this five bedroom home in Grant Street. We were contracted the paint the whole interior and exterior. Below are a couple of photos of both the interior and exterior before painting commenced.
The previous owners hadn’t painted in years and the house colors seemed very outdated. Clearly it was in need of some fresh, contemporary colors. The job took a total of six weeks for four painters.
Once again in consultation with independent interior designer, Julie Mirabile, the clients chose the following colors:
Exterior:
Roof, Gutters, Facia – #ColourbondWallaby finished in #Dulux Weathershield Semi Gloss
Low Facia/Bargeboards/Posts/Railings – Dulux Hasst finished in Dulux Weathershield Semi Gloss
Weatherboards/Plinths/Picket Fence/Front Fence – Dulux Hasst finished in Dulux Weathershield Low Sheen
Windows – Dulux Natural White finished in Dulux Weathershield Semi Gloss
Fretwork – Dulux Natural White finished in Dulux Super Enamel High Gloss
Front Door – Dulux Black finished in Dulux Super Enamel High Gloss
Decking – Intergrain Merbau finished in Ultra Deck
Interior:
All Ceilings – Dulux Vivid White finished in Dulux Professional Ceiling Flat
All Walls – Dulux Natural White finished in Dulux Wash & Wear Low Sheen Acrylic
All Woodwork – Dulux Natural White 1/2 strength finished in Dulux Aqua Enamel Semi Gloss
More and more clients are choosing to finish their woodwork in #AquaEnamel (aka water based enamel paints). From an applicator POV, they are easy to apply, quick drying and little or no #VOC’s. From a client’s perspective, they can live in their #homes comfortably without fumes and the paint does not ‘yellow’ like conventional oil based enamels.
